Hi Kristie, I have blanked the scientific name box (removed "It's a tree") & tick "help me ID this species so that our community can help you to learn which species of tree it is. It would be helpful if you could add more photos - of the whole tree so we can see the shape, a close up on a leaf & one of the bark, as this helps us to make an accurate ID. The description box is so you can provide more details - e.g.how tall the tree was, & the habitat is to provide details of where the tree is growing - for instance, in a neighborhood, a park, a forest.... You can find more guidance on correctly completing spottings in our FAQs http://www.projectnoah.org/faq
Welcome to the community!
