Tiny Flower Fly

Description:

Tiny Flower Fly of about 5 mm. Family Syrphidae. A second individual was seen on June 19, 2013 in the same place. This one has a darker scutellum.

Habitat:

Came to an ultraviolet light in the garden, San Cristobal de Las Casas, 2,200 meters. Unusual, since syrphids rarely come to lights at night.
