The android version has unfortunately always been quite buggy. The good news is that it's being rewritten and tested at the moment so these things should be fixed with the next version.
No problem, i use the android version. I also have problems with manually setting the location. The map always returns to my position when i want to scroll away from my own location.

Hey Daniele. I know, and already entered the scientific name. Mobile version of PN seems to be deleting the scientific name as soon as i upload the spotting. Thanks for your comment anyway!
