Spotted Flycatcher

Muscipapa striata

Description:

In my grandmother's garden it was full of these birds and they were always singing on the highest branches of the trees. They were pretty timid and only perched on a vulnerable branch for a few moments, while prefering more hidden places. It took me a whole day before catching a good picture in which I could id them, as they are also similar to other local species.

Habitat:

Mediterranean trees next to the shore
