Beaver

Castor canadensis

Description:

The largest rodent in North America, they are covered in brown, water-resistant fur. The back feet are large and webbed, and the tail is flattened to help propel it through water.

Habitat:

Found, ironically, in the "Beaver Pond." I was photographing birds and heard something in the cattails below the blind and looked down to see this guy swimming by.
