Plains Viscacha Rat

Tympanoctomys barrerae

Notes:

14,400 ft High Andes, Argentina. I think this is the species I listed it under but not 100% positive. My team leaders referred to them as "choschory." They're really funny because they protest all the time when your in their area, which is our area, by making a "cho cho" sound. They're also little thieves, they steal anything they can get their little chompers on! But after a couple days of getting used to us, they started hanging out with us around our feet, it was fun. :)
