Eastern Cottontail?

Description:

It had a white dot on its head and white spots on its back plus it had soft brown hair.

Habitat:

You would most find this kind of rabbit in thick forests.

Notes:

I found it in my backyard beside my giant propane tank.

Looks like an eastern cottontail. This Web site says that the white spot is indicative of eastern cottontail rather than New England cottontail: http://westboroughlandtrust.org/nn/nn55....
