Juvenal's Duskywing

Erynnis juvenalis

Description:

It is a type of butterfly, most likely a skipper, but I didn't get a good close up so can't be sure. It was flitting about on a bank beside a dirt road. Looks like it may have been interested in finding a spot to lay some eggs.

Habitat:

dry, sunny, rocky, woodland.
