Description:

Winged insect of yellow and dark brown coloration with black/dark brown banding with near tear drop like elements to banding. Stinger is not exposed. Large mandibles, eyes have chitin covering portions.

Habitat:

Four of the same species were spotted feasting on sap coming from a Persimmon tree.

Notes:

One of the same species was found dead on the ground 8-12 inches below the four feasting on sap.
