Heavy Woodland in close proximity to marsh and river.

According to Nat geo's bird guide, there is only a SE corner of Colorado that is not their range. Birds have been on the move quite a bit in the last few decades, as evidence by populations of all kinds of birds in Oregon that aren't supposed to be here, but are breeding and staying
