A worldwide community photographing and learning about wildlife
Chamaedorea seifrizii
Spotted in Cookscomb Wildlife Sanctuary and Jaguar Preserve, just off of Stann Creek in Belize. I was only able to get these few photos of the fruiting body of the tree, as we were briskly making our way through the preserve.
Moist organic soil over limestone in mesic hammocks and disturbed wooded areas. Native to Mexico & Central America; introduced into Florida.
