Description:

It's been so wet in the last few days that these Amanitas are popping out all over EcoVillage @ Floyd Bennett Field. Very enchanting!! Learned this was an Amanita crenulata. white spores, cap fused to stalk with only one collar. veil that disappears once picked.

Habitat:

mixed woodland ground, popping up in Eco Village, Floyd Bennett Field, Brooklyn.
