Carolina Anole (Green Anole) male

Image from this source seems to point to a green anole as well- I think Adarsha is correct too. This indicates that they can be found pretty far west, so I don't think Louisiana is an uncommon location.

I agree with Ardasha. This looks like a handsome male Carolina Anole (Green Anole), Anolis carolinensis.

Not quite sure about regional distribution and hence the ID..
