Variable Oysterling

Crepidotus variabilis

Description:

Clumps of frilly thin clam shaped mushrooms upto 20 mm wide. The fans had no stipe. Gills radiated towards the margins from points of attachment. The younger mushrooms were a more regular clam shape. Also seen on the same piece of wood were tiny budding oysterlings.

Habitat:

Spotted on a decaying piece of stick, under trees in leaf and wood debris.
