Straight-snouted Weevil

Description:

Any suggestions towards genus and species? About 13mm including the snout; glossy black with yellow markings on the elytra. The Brentids belong to the superfamily Curculionoidea, along with the 'true' Weevils and from which they can be distinguished by having non-elbowed antennae.

Habitat:

Tropical rainforest in the Ecuadorian Amazon region.
