Sparkling Violetear

Colibri coruscans

Description:

A "sparkling" hummingbird that is basically green with brown wings.

Habitat:

This one was seen sitting on a fence of a local resident in downtown Quito, Ecuador, elevation 2,850 m. With all the flowing bushes, shrubs and fence climbers, it is a hummingbird fan's delight.

Notes:

Unfortunately, I don't know hummingbirds. While this isn't exactly like what Wiki shows, it is as close as I could get considering Quito is at an altitude over 9,000 feet.
