Description:

Spotted this wasp struggling with it's prey this morning in a banana plant. Can't find a Scientific name so if someone could give me an ident. I would be grateful

Habitat:

Fruit garden

I do not think that this one is Ampulex compressa. This one should have to pairs of red legs and bluish tibiae.

It might be another species of Ampulex or another wasp genus.

Spider legs skilfully removed.. they just get in the way anyway. Good spot Viv.
