Acrididae, Cyrthacanthacridinae, Nomadacris septemfasciata. Very variable, also color changes depending if solitary or gregarious.

Body length 6-7 cm. He was so calm for about ten pictures, but after the last one he jumped right into the camera and scared me to death! Those legs are powerful indeed...
