My daughter found this while we were on a walk in the woods off of Barker Road in Pittsfield, across from Cadwell road.
Cool find! I miss seeing these. I saw them every year when I lived in New Hampshire.
Sometimes called Eastern Newt or Eastern Red-spotted Newt. This is the terrestrial juvenile stage and it is sometimes called the Red Eft.
