Libellula saturata

Description:

Males are an orange red color overall with dark tip on the end of upper wing. The transparent part of wing is a dark yellow orange that fades to clear. They are a large heavy dragonfly.

Habitat:

Usually found near or above water.

Notes:

Tough to photograph cause they constantly moving. This one took a few rest stops.

Thanks MrJohn, tough to get. But this was a short exposed bit of creek so I had a feeling it would have to stop sooner then later.
