Fun fact! Hedgehogs are one of the few animals that successfully prey on venomous snakes. The hedgehog provokes the snake so that it strikes until it is injured and weakened by the hedgehog’s spines, and than delivers a bite to the snakes neck to kill it. Hedgehogs are extremely tolerant of snake venom due to the protein erinacin in their muscular system. Though this immunity is only partial and envenomation can prove fatal, it is believed that hedgehogs can survive many times the quantity of venom likely to kill a human. https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=...
