Eastern Water Skink

Description:

Size about 10 cm large, copper colour with a dark spott pattern at back, dark band at side, lighter at bottom.

Habitat:

Spotted at Heirisson Island, Perth, WA Australia, is endemic to Australia, primarily in the southeast, is usually found close to or on the shore of slow flowing creeks and estuaries, hence its common names. The distribution of the eastern water skink ranges from southern Victoria to central Queensland.

Notes:
