Lithobates Clamitans
Found this little guy in a shallow pond made by the Kishwaukee River.
Sure thing :) A lot of the herp Genera have changed in the past few years, it's all just a big giant mess. Hopefully soon everyone will agree on one name for each species and we can get it all straightened out :)
They are the same thing, in North America Rana got changed to Lithobates a few years ago. The Bronze frog is a subspecies of the Green Frog, it is Lithobates clamitans clamitans, and is generally found in the southern part of the Green Frog range.
I am confused by the difference between Rana Clamitans and Lithobates Clamitans, from what I am getting a Rana Clamitans is a green frog and a Lithobates Clamitans is a bronze frog?
