Checkered Beetle

Phyllobaenus sp.

Small, elongated, black and tan beetle with checkered pattern on elytra. The head has two large eyes on the side. About 4 mm in length total.

Oleander bush in the backyard.

Only shot I was able to get of this beetle. Looks like P. pallipennis but it's out of range.
