Tetradia lophoptera
1,5 cm long and alert. When I tried to take a picture he constantly moved to the far side of the branch. We had a little peekaboo thing going on the two of us :) Great camouflage! The bug reminds me of a big mite! I like the hairy parts on his back...
In a mango tree in a village area. 700m to the Indian ocean.
I agree, similar but not equal.
I would still think it is a Crossotini.

@ Bayucca, I am still trying to ID this one, and I found pictures of Crossotus katbeh that have a lot of resemblance with the spotted Longhorn bug, but it is still not one! What do you say?

@ the super Bayucca, I am still trying to find more pictures of the Tetradia lophoptera that is more similar to this example. So far, I think there are too different... But as always, a big thanks to you! :)
Thanks Kerry, Mark and Mac :) It is an odd looking bug indeed!
A special thanks to you Bayucca for the suggestion if and ID!!!
Fabulous spotting Tiz. Great set of pics. This one not built for speed I thinks.
Thanks Faredin :D I do your bugs and you do mine! What a great deal :D
I changed the name but I will leave the SN open for now!
@ Lauren, Ye exactly! That was my first thought, eleytra... Hariy back was my second thought... hehe (ok that was a lie) Amazed by your skills!! :) Thanks a lot
Hey Tina, that's an amazing beetle. It's a dumpy longhorn beetle but exact species name is not easy to find.
