Description:

Green Shell with circular spots (ocelli) yellow and black. Plastron yellow with green drawings on almost the entire surface of the plastron. Drawings circular yellow spots on the skin, especially the face. Sexual dimorphism, with females of larger size, with a shell of 23 to 30 cm long, while the males reached between 19 and 25 cm. The tail is longer in males than in females, but unlike other turtles of gender, males do not have the longest fingernails.

Habitat:

Slow water with muddy bottom and abundant submerged or floating vegetation. It is very aquatic. The water temperature may range from 20 ° C to 35 ° C. In breeding must imitate best natural habitat. Keep the water as clean as possible to prevent diseases by sediments.
