Spotting

Description:

Found these eggs at a playground. The mother must have been roosting in the tubing at the top of the swings, they had been pushed out of the nest, both were cracked and dried out. :'( Poor birdies.

Notes:

Rivercourse, Alberta

yes "S_Frazier" I would have taken a picture at the site but I didn't have my camera with me at the time, not even my phone! LOL I wasn't sure what category to put them under - thanks.

Moved to Birds :-) Ideally, these would be photographed in the situation where they were found. :-)

Kind of sad for the birds inside the eggs, but those kind of look like brown-headed cowbird eggs. Let's hope they are and a much nicer and less common bird figured out it was tricked and saved its own eggs from the intruder!
