Soil Centipede

Description:

Very long, flat centipede. Reddish brown in color. My index finger in the second picture for size comparison.

Habitat:

Sears Bellows County Park, New York. Perhaps seeking refuge from the rain on our tent. Sandy soil, wooded campground area.

Notes:

These normally live in the soil (hence the name). They are eyeless.
