Brahminy myna or Brahminy starling

Sturnia pagodarum

Description:

This bird has a turquoise base to its yellow bill. It also has a sort of crest which gives it a hassled look when raised. Otherwise the top of the head (crown) looks like gelled black hair combed flat.

Habitat:

It nests everywhere. I have seen it nesting inside an overhead street lamp that was slightly cracked...took a photo too. Bird is adapting well to urban situations.
