Description:

Small fly with slightly elongated body. Yellow face and legs. Body dark with yellow stripes and yellow on the sides. Top of head has a black triangle, thorax is dark with yellow stripes and a bold white mark. Dark eyes. Possibly Subfamily Chloropinae, a Grass Fly.

Habitat:

Cedar Creek County Park, New York. Resting on some vegetation in a less used area of the park.
