Yucca moths

Tegeticula sp.

Pure white insects, some specimens speckled with black, roughly 10 mm in length.

Found perched at the tip of yucca leaves on an overcast, cool afternoon in a vast open field of grasses, yucca, and other plants. Some scattered elm trees.

Yucca moths are the only pollinators of yucca flowers.
