Description:

Harpalus anxius is a species of phytophagous and xerophilous ground beetle. The species is 6.8 - 8.2 mm long and is black coloured.

Habitat:

Itis native to Palearctic (including Europe) and the Near East. It prefers sandy heath and dunes.
