Sleepy bird.
Spotted on a moored boat. River Mandovi, Goa. Last shot shows the scenic view...with bird. We were catching a flight back that day and just had time to visit the Basilica of Bom Jesus...however, the auto driver agreed to stop for a moment to let me alight, walk back and take the shots. There were similar sightings of Cormorant, Common Kingfisher and Brahminy Kites...but no time to stop. Please can someone help me identify this sleepy bird.
Hi Sukanya. Here is another link for the Common Sandpiper. I see by these pictures there is a lot of variation in color. I believe the other link in the ID box is a match to your foto. There is one in this site that matches too.
