A worldwide community photographing and learning about wildlife
Stenolemus sp.
This was the first time I spotted this bug, and there are some interesting things about it: first, it is so small and light colored that at first I thought it was just an empty exuvia. Second, it has distinctive color and pattern, different of any other reduviidae I've seen before. And third, it has hairy legs (its most remarkable feature to me). I checked on the internet, and I found one genus only that matches it, Stenolemus. Although spread around the world, including South America, I only found reports of this genus in the Amazon area, which is far away from where I live. Could this be the first sighting of this bug in southern Brazil?
