Description:

Young snapper, not fully grown, but big enough to not put my finger in front of him, was crossing the road and had to be saved and moved to the ditch in direction of his pathway.

Habitat:

roadside in maple dominated hardwood forest area next to Hubbel Pond WMA in Minnesota.
