Phyllotopsis nidulans
A bright orange furry cap about 30 mm wide, with an eccentric attachment to dead wood. The 'hairs' nearest the point of attachment appeared white. Margin of cap was also white.
Spotted on damp log - eucalyptus Probably native to North America. Is documented in The Atlas of Living Australia (ALA) as occurring in Australia.
i was not able to photograph the gills because of the location. A very bright beautiful fungus that resembled Crepidotus sp. From the Tricholomataceae family. This is also commonly called "orange oyster"
