Northern Starflower

Description:

These small white wildflowers, which bloom in late spring up here, typically have seven petals - they're one of the few wildflowers that do. I didn't notice while photographing this one that it actually has eight!

Habitat:

Forest floor. This one was actually growing outside the building where I live.
