Well it WAS in a bog. I think it is Water Horsetail.
It's kind of hard to see enough details, but I suspect that what you have here is one of the member of Equisetum, or horsetail. You may want to keep looking for an ID to species as you may remember more details. See http://www.friendsofeloisebutler.org/pag... for some examples.
