Nursery Web Spider

Pisaurina mira

Description:

Large spider with long legs. Reddish tan coloration with a darker warm brown stripe from the face to the abdomen running along the middle of the dorsum. Thin white stripe bordering the dark stripe. Sparse dark hairs. This is typical coloration for this species.

Habitat:

Sears Bellows County Park, NY. Wooded campground. Shower house.

Notes:

The larger of two found in one of the shower stalls (and yes, I did shower in the stall after moving the spiders to an area where they wouldn't get injured). Sorry about the slightly blurry images.
