Gumleaf grasshopper (Goniaea australasiae), also known as the Deadleaf grasshopper. The adult is characterized by the sharp prominent arched crest on the thorax, which together with the colour, gives it the appearance of a dry gum leaf.

Thanks for the reminder DTS. This was my first ever spotting, and the fields were different at the beginning of projectnoah. I need to go back and amend these early spottings.
Thanks Argy. This was my first ever spotting/posting to NOAH - way back in October, 2010. Almost my two-year "anniversary" here.
Superb lori!
