Rainforest Lichen (crust species?)

Description:

Pale green lichen, very thin but large surface area, smooth texture and quite slimey to the touch. Most likely a crust lichen species. Growing on basalt boulders in moist rainforest.

Habitat:

This lichen is protected within the Gondwana Rainforests of Australia World Heritage Area, this particular location being Springbrook National Park, a habitat of cool temperate rainforest. It is at high altitude (1550m), dense forest canopy and very moist with high rainfall.
