Because its restricted habitat, the calcareous dunes, it is concidered potentially threatned. This habitat is deminishing due to fast leaching of lime, which leads to acidification and thus the abundant growth of grasses. "Vulnerable"-status on the Dutch Red List, and also found on several other Red Lists thoughout the world.
