Flower pot toad

kaloula aureata

Description:

3 inches in length, 2 across, and 1 and a half, top to bottom. Moist warty skin. Predominantly brown, with bands of brilliant yellow.

Habitat:

South East Asia up to Sri Lanka?

Notes:

37 Celsius today. Then a short heavy rain. I found the frog near a puddle in a concave part of my garden at around 8 in the evening. Pleasure to see in a backyard. I had first thought it was a frog. (Am 66 years old w poor eyesight.) After posting the photos, I noticed the skin, and saw it had bumps and realized it was a toad. So looked up identification and rectified posting.
