Description:

Lavender to purple flower heads about 1 inch wide. It is surrounded underneath by a black tipped, brown, prickly bract. Leaves are long with many narrow lobes.

Habitat:

Found on Tamarac NWR at the Chippewa Picnic area. Spotted Knapweed grows along road and sunny fields.

Notes:

Invasive plant.
