Description:

Small, body length about 8 mm, black, with tibia ("shin" segment) on hind leg swollen.

Habitat:

Perched on tip of twig well off the ground near edge of small pond. Habitat is riparian with dry and moist meadows, cottonwood trees, cattails, rabbitbrush, etc.

Notes:

The habit of this genus to perch at the tips of twigs and stems is somewhat diagnostic.
