At 5:30 p.m. in the late afternoon, I walked over to the left front window, ( which is at the front of the house ), and I looked out, and I saw a butterfly, resting on a red flower. I went outside, and this butterfly, was a ( Painted Lady Butterfly ). This butterfly, stayed on the red flower, for about ten minutes, before it flew away. Some of its colors, was: brown, black, white, orange, and yellow. Other common names: Cosmopolitan, Thistle Butterfly. Food: Adults take nectar from a variety of flowers, especially Asteraceae. Caterpillars, feed primarily on Asteraceae and Malvaceae, especially Thistle, Burdock, and Hollyhocks.

This butterfly, is widely distributed all over the Northern hemisphere, and can be seen in all types of habitats, except dense forests. This flying insect, lives in temperate and some tropical areas.
