Description:

Jet black with thin white bands in an irregular pattern. This snake is also called a Chain Kingsnake or just a Common Kingsnake.

Habitat:

Mixed forest.

Notes:

This snake was wandering through our neighbor's goat pen at milking time. Goats didn't seem to mind too much.
