Deciduous habitat
Resembles Viola cucullata, so not sure if this is just a light variant.
Thanks for the suggestion Scott! I'm extremely limited on my flower knowledge, but am working on changing that. Thanks again for chiming in.
That's pretty hairy for V. cucullata. It's possibly V. sororia/septentrionalis, might be "Confederate Violet".
