California Alligator Lizard

Elgaria multicarinata multicarinata

Description:

This one seems just as curious as he stares at me with his dark yellow eyes. It is dark green and yellow about four inches in length, minus a tail. Those detachable tails must come in handy.

Habitat:

Mixed/Coniferous forest
