Description:

Brownish-gray with red-bill; red eye surrounded by bare yellow skin; typically observed in association with large mammals.

Habitat:

Open grassland and acacia scrub, wherever large grazing/browsing mammals are found

Notes:

Oxpeckers are in a famous mutualistic relationship with large African mammals, including Cape buffalo and rhinos.
